About the farmer
For Hernan and his family being sustainable is a way to maintain and improve the quality of their production. They do this by using organic materials from the forest to fertilize the soils and the cascara (coffee cherry husks) for compost.
The Perez family combines ancestral knowledge with new techniques as a way of producing coffee.
